Jawa Card - PDF

Steps 1 & 2:
Right click (or control click on a Mac) on the two links above to download the PDFs. Print out all the Jawa pieces and card on heavy paper, like card stock or construction paper.

If Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed on your computer, the file should open. If you don't have Acrobat Reader, you can download it here.

Step 3:
Using a ruler as a guide, take the rounded end of a paper clip (or ballpoint pen that has run out of ink) and press along the dotted lines of the pop-up pieces and card.

Step 4:
Carefully cut out the pop-up pieces and card following the solid, black lines.

Step 5:
Take the card, fold it in half and set it aside.

Step 6:
Take your Jawa piece and fold it in half.

Step 7:
Carefully cut along the solid black lines of Jawa's face.

Step 8:
Do the same on the other side.

Step 9:
Fold Jawa's face in half on the dotted lines. Put it back to his original positon.

Step 10:
Turn over your Jawa over and repeat Step 9 on the other side.

Step 11:
Lay your Jawa back to his original position.

Step 12:
Take his left arm and crease on the dotted lines. Put his left arm back to his original poisition and repeat this Step on his right arm.

Step 13:
Take his left foot and fold it up towards his head and put it back to its original position. Do the same on his right foot.

Step 14:
Now take Jawa's face and push it back so his cloak is in front of his face along with his body.

Step 15:
Take your back pop-up piece and fold it in half. Unfold and put it back to its original position.

Step 16:
Apply a small amount of glue on the area marked "A".

Step 17:
Take your Jawa and carefully line up Jawa's right arm over area "A".
Press firmly and let the glue dry. Repeat Steps on his left arm on area "B".

Step 18:
Now take your card and apply a small amount of glue on the area marked "C".

Step 19:
Take your Jawa and line him up over area "C" and press firmly. Let the glue dry.

Step 20:
Repeat this Step on the other side marked "D"by applying a small amount of glue.

Step 21:
Carefully begin to close your Jawa pop-up..

Step 22:
...now open your Jawa pop-up! Put your own finishing touches by coloring him in with crayons or markers.
